About our founder

Dr. Hernán Salazar, born in Chile in 1944, embarked on a remarkable journey to become an esteemed and multifaceted physician. He has amassed a wealth of experience throughout his career, serving in various roles across numerous medical institutions and organizations.

After completing his education, Dr. Salazar took up positions as a Psychiatric Assistant, Respiratory Therapy Technician, and Health Educator & Coordinator, helping to improve the health and well-being of patients and communities in different settings.

In the years that followed, Dr. Salazar’s expertise in various medical fields continued to grow, leading him to take on roles as an Independent Contractor/Physician in Occupational Medicine for companies such as Firemen’s Fund and Nationwide Paper. Alongside these endeavors, he pursued academic roles, working as an Adjunct Instructor at Northwest Vista College.

Dr. Salazar’s career expanded further when he became the Medical Director/Principal Investigator for several organizations, including PRACS Institute, Cetero Research, and Endeavor/ERG Clinical Trials, where he contributed his expertise in conducting and overseeing clinical trials in a variety of medical fields. Additionally, he has dedicated his time to serving as a physician in Internal Medicine/General Practice, catering to the needs of veterans and private patients alike.

Furthermore, Dr. Salazar has provided care in areas such as Gerontology, Palliative Care, Hospice, and Oncology, working with HIMS Group and IPC in San Antonio, TX. His contributions to the field of medicine are vast and reflect his lifelong commitment to improving the health of individuals, particularly those in San Antonio, Texas.
